It is great for higher education and medicine to be free of charge. But to be able to fund this, the government needs to issue higher taxes.

Medicine should be free, otherwise the government should just get a gun and shoot all the sick, because they'd be killing them anyway without proper free medical care.
Higher Education, on the other hand, isn't for everyone, but those who do want to study should be able to study with or without money- there should be a payback scheme. Not free, but you could study a degree then when you do get a job you could pay back the money it cost through your tax- that's how it is done in Australia.
Although, the more you study about history and philosophy, the less you really want to work because you realise how futile this whole thing is!

Higher education should be free. I think it's ridiculous that folks
have to take out loans like they're buying a house for some knowledge. And parents putting away college money for their
children when they are still infants.

As far as medicine goes it should be free since communist
Cuba can provide free health-care to its' citizens, the U.S. should
be able to since it is suppose to be the greatest and most powerful nation in the world.

I agree!
And 100% that is!
I think if education was free, everyone would attend college and such because most people dont want to pay...As for medicine, I also agree that it should be free.

I don't think it needs to be so extreme. Doesn't have to be free but I agree it should be a reasonable cost that most people could afford, otherwise it would cause a failure on its maintenance.
Not free but not so expensive neither.

basic education (up to high school last grade) must be free of charge. but not high education. if someone chooses to pursue high education then they must pay for it themselves.

of course, medecine and medical treatments must also be free of charge, in all cases and for everyone, the poor being priority here.

No. Lower education should be free. If you want to better yourself, you pay. Plus, I am not sending kids who barely get by in school to college or university on my dime.

Meds, no. Cheaper, yes. Free, no.
