We have to write a short story and my one is about a duke who goes riding his bicycle and the chain comes off. He doesn't know how to put it back and he meets another aristocrat who doesnt know either. Then this middle class person comes by but he wants to charge the duke. Its only when a working class boy comes by who does it for nothing when he finds out the mans a duke.
My point is has anybody actually met an aristocrat?

The point was the stupid working class still touch their caps to the aristocracy and if you dont think the middle class is interested in money sonny well which planet did you come from?

your short story espouses unsavoury ideological positions concerning class. and it does so in a wholly obvious and pretentious manner. the aristrocrats cannot fulfil banal mechanical tasks, yet the working class can. you see the middle class as eternally hungry for money and as parasitic leeches off the aristocracy. and you see the working class as stooges. how ridiculous. don't give up your day job to be a writer, by any means.
