update: Himmler didn't commit suicide in his bunker with his wife, eva, that was Hitler. i'm asking about heinrich Himmler. i'm sure he definitely had an office or something in Germany.

He was the head of the German SS and Gestapo. His headquarters was in Berlin.
"Until the end, the Prinz-Albrecht-Strasse/Wilhelmstrasse terrain remained the administrative center of the SS-Stat("Regierungsviertel des SS-Staates"), the center of the terror apparatus. Here stood the desks of Himmler, Heydrich, Kaltenbrunner, and Heinrich Mueller ("Gestapo Mueller"). Here was the Gestapo's "Hausgefaengnis" as well as the hub of the network of Gestapo Regional and Local Commands ["(Leit)-Stellen"] and the administrative offices of the Higher SS and Police Commanders ("Hoehere SSund Polizeifuehrer"), which was strung out across Germany and large parts of Europe. From here the genocide of the Jews was prepared, and deportations and extermination were coordinated by the state authorities. The Special Units operating in Poland and the Soviet Union sent reports on their murderous exploits to this address. Here was where the persecution of the opponents of the regime in Germany, and later in all the occupied territories as well, was organized."
Although in heavy disguise, Himmler was arrested by a British army officer in Bremen on 22nd May. Before he could he interrogated, Himmler committed suicide by swallowing a cyanide capsule.

He basicly worked from two place one near the town were he was born in Switzerland in the alps, and secondly in Berlin were he and his wife Eva comitted suicide when Berlin were invaded by Allied forces and the Russian army, in 1945. A recent program on History channel had a lot of iformation an these facts.
