The clue is in your very question !
You do see the possibility of trying to change ! That's it. The pre-destined part is only indicative. Yet, a lot is in our hands. We can change our outlook, attitude as to how we wish to 'receive' it. And as the attitude strengthens, it does change even the 'course' of pre-destined happenings, and ultimately does 'liberate' us from it ! No point in just believing or dis-believing. Start the journey with things within our reach, knowledge and experience. You may depend on experience of others to a very reasonable extent to open up the possibilities. It can be done . Try with very small things like die-hard habits, impulses, pattern of responses, etc , which also 'seems' pre-destined !

Life is what we make it. Destiny is choice not chance. Every aspect of our lives is determined by the decisions that we make. I think that we have the ability to shape our future and decide whether we succeed or fail by the actions we take not because it was pre-destined. Life is full of choices and the fact that there are options means our destiny is what we make it.

I believe you just answered yourself. To change ourselves is not pre-destination ergo, we are not pre-destined. We make choices and to change ourselves, our world is a choice or free will.

We're supposed to stay on our pre-destanited path, we as humans will swerve off it at times and that will lead us away from what we are supposed to be learning throughout our life time/s

that is why so many people are not happy w/ themselves.. they are taught they need to be a "certain" way.... everyone is perfect the way they are...its all the preconceived ideas that make people think they need to change.... its sad. If we would all accept ourselves the way we are..life would be great. One is ones worst enemy.

You have a choice. If you are speaking of a verse or so in the bible you need to study further you have free will.

I don't believe in our lives being a 'pre-destioned script'... if that was true we wouldn't have a free will.... pre-destionation robs us of a free will.... don't you have a free will to do what you want?
