its when they are saying something the producers dont want you to hear. Its not 100% live, I think there is a 3-5 second delay

Some topics are the housemates own opinions and BB can be held responsible for some things. They might be talking about somebody and BB can be sued for broadcasting slander. Also it is before the watershed and they may be discussing things not fit for day time telly. Also as mentioned before Channel 4 has certain rights for airing some topics and therefore E4 has to dub out what is said.

This usually occurs when the housemates are talking about someone or something the producers deem in-appropriate or to private for broadcasting. plus the live broadcast from inside the house is normally a few minutes behind. thats how they know when to put the noise on.

So you can't hear the annoying noise of Nikki!!
Its to stop you over hearing them when talking about personal stuff or things about people on the outside world. Blah Blah!
10 minute delay!!

To cover up the talking about people that aren't in the public eye, innapropriate conversations, swearing etc
Its not 100% live - think they are about 30 mins behind

I think it when they talk about certain topics. I think it is really annoying too, if they are going to play it live we should be able to hear everything. It will have something to do with law and not wanting to be sued for some reason.

because the Housemates are speaking about concerns outdoors of the homestead, sch as relations contributors, firends or prsonal concerns written in to the C4 and contestant contacts. boring i recognize, notwithstanding this is BB's and C4's regulations i'm afraid.

there is a 15min delay and it stops Endemol from being sued,and if they just blocked out the sound without using those silly bird sounds people who had just tuned in might think their tv was at fault.
