I really lover vampire novels, but I absolutely hate reading sex scenes. Vampire romances would be okay, as long as things other than the main characters' supple bodies are described. That kind of writing is really annoying.
I'm a huge fan of Amelia Atwater-Rhodes and would really like to find more books like hers.
Don't like Ann Rice that much because of the sex.
Any help would be greatly appreicated. Thanks!

Unfortunately, there is a degree of sexuality in most vampire books. Sexuality is intertwined in the vampire myth.

You should read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer it is a great vampire book. Set in a highschool in Forks, Washington, Bella Swan encounters many strange things when she moves to town...but nothing stranger or more beautiful than Edward. Edward holds her attention like no other--there's something about him that she's drawn to...little does she know that his secret could change her life one day.
It is the first in a series...New Moon is due to release this fall.

Dresden book series by Jim butcher.The main plot is not sex.There is some sex.But lately Harry(the hero) has not been getting any as he and his girl friend parted ways.She was turned to a half-vampire and could not be in a relationship as sex brings out her bloodlust.

NOPE! I recommend an old Vampire Book "Crimson Kisses" by Asa Drake, Nina Romberg - great novel!! You can find it on Amazon and EBay....

Boys that Bite is a really fun one by Mari Mancusi. It's young adult, about a girl 'accidently' getting bit by a vamp after the 'worst case of mistaken identity ever." (She has a twin.)
Really fun book!

Cirque du Freak by Darren shan is a good vampire series. and silver kiss, the underworld series by Greg Cox is really good too. nothing too sexual. i mean i would read it to my younger sister
