Its far easier and cheaper to modify the player rather than the disc.

Most PC units can be flashed to make them multiregion, and most home players can be chipped.

It's like the whole NTSC/ PAL debate with videos all over again, isn't it? America and the UK using different formats.

In reality however, owing to the process of globalisation, most DVD players are actually produced as multi-region and leave the factory as such, only to be customised to the market place they're being sold in by the distributor/vendor. Therefore, by far the majority of DVD players sold in the UK are actually capable of playing a region 0, region 1, region 2 etc disk. What you may need to do is to look up on the internet how to activate the multi-regional capability of your individual player to see whether it's possible to re-enact such capability. I believe that manufacturers are actually meant to sell their product for a specific region and that's why they're defaulted to one region rather than all regions at the point of purchase.

First of all you will need a transformer to alter the voltage as in the UK we use 240 volts. I think there is a disc that can be used to make your DVD region free if not try your search engine for DVD region free codes. But for what DVD players cost from around £30 it might be easier just to buy a new one. Hope this is of help.

You cannot change the format of that specific DVD. The easiest way to watch it in the UK and the only legal way is to purchase a DVD player which plays Region 1 they are often avaliable from all good electronic stores Dixons, Currys etc. or for greater choice Amazon is also good for electronic hardware.

What's your DVD player Make & model?
Just change the region code on the DVD to multi-region play (Region 0). Loads of sites give information on how to.
It seems you can't do it with SONY equipment, tho.

Petey, has got it right.

They are formated for everything for movies, music, etc., you name it it can do it. I bought mine from an Asian site.
