When you look at your Best answers there is a section next to the Askers comment praising your question that has a Community Thumbs Up and Down with a percentage next to it.
I have a best answer that i got 10 points for and i keep getting extra points every now and then because it gets a community thumbs up.
How do i choose this option on my questions so that people i choose as the best answer get the same advantage as i have?

After a question is resolved there is a thumbs up/down rating. It is a set of radio buttons below the best answer. Just go back into any resolved question you have answered and you will see it.
As for questions you ask, you cannot give thumbs up/down because you have already done that by selecting a best answer in the first place.

Additional Info: There is also a button in resolved questions for comments which allows you to post additional comments regarding the best answer if you wish. Why you gave it thumbs up/down etc.

I think it happens automatically. I've had some thumbs up on my best answers so I assume the same must go for the people I pick

You've got to go to vote for best answers, read them and vote for your favourite! Then if others agree with you, the person gets 1 point for thumbs up.

no longer in your hands if other people look at the question and think it was a good answer then they get the thumbs up! don't worry about it u have done your bit and given hem the 10 points!

It happens automatically, as soon as a best answer is chosen, people can give it a thums up or down rating. YOu can go to the resolved questions to do that for other people if you like.

Well as nice as that sounds you can't. All you can do is vote for them. I can't believe Im saying this but you made me smile becuase you were thinking of others something that is not seen often. Good question.

You don't. Everyone can vote on any best answer. It is automatic.

it occurs automatically but when you go into your own question its not there as you have already rated the question with stars....
