Yes, but the question is whether it is THREE times or FOUR times as hip to be dodecagonal. A more intense question is whether it is Hip to the power of infinity to be a circle (on the theory that a circle is simply what you get when you have an infinite number of angles and corners to an enclosed space) or Hip to the power of zero to be a circle (on the theory that a circle really only has one side).

It depends on what factors go into the calculation of hipness. For example, if it is a linear function based on the total number of sides, then you assertion is correct. However, I suspect that since the triangle in the simple polygon, then a linear function would have a different slope so that twice the hip would be associated with the hexagon. But this means that the octogon would thus be three times as hip! :-)
