don't worry

c.ronaldo will get alot better

zidane .. he had come so far , his fans will stick by him.. eventhough his actions was quite unsportman like ..
but what can ppl do if racial terms are used against players when a game is going on...

if materrazzi did refer to his mother and sister that way (plus calling him a terrorist) he is a very pathetic.. i am not going to judge the whole of italy 4 that ( that would be even more pathetic)

i read that materazzi have a 10 month old daughter , goodness how did he managed to refer to zidane's family that way?

Diving is cheating and real football fans are getting sick of it. C. Ronaldo dives so often it detracts from his skill. Also the fact that he apprarently took pleasure in getting Wayne Roony, his team mate in club football, sent off did not help.

As for Zidane, well headbutting is not really an option to solve an argument. Let alone practising the behaviour on a football pitch!

I have been sick of Ronaldo's antics for ages (well before the world cup) but was always a fan if Zidane. Not sure what was actually said, but it is a real shame that he reacted that way.

Would not say that I hate him, more fell sorry that he ended his football career that way!!

Zizou is probably one of the best midfield geniuses we have ever seen in the world of football. But he is still a human being and its pretty unfortunate that he lost his cool against a defender from a formidable side like Italy. If he was there the game would have been different because France was able to break through the Azzuri defense at certain intervals but failed to capitalize.

Zidane is still a great player and that header attempt against Italy is proof enough.

Coming to C.Ronaldo, what does he lack : speed, agility and a very quick eye but he tries to be a bit tacful. Though unnecessary it is quite common these days in the world of football. Especially when there are so many erring referees. He does not deserve to be a hated player just because he dived or something. He is still a great player and we are yet to see more from him....

Zidane retaliated when Materazzi racially abused him & if he had not, he would have taken a penalty and perhaps have won the World Cup for France
C. Ronaldo is a cheater who fouls and throws tantrums when a person just brushes against him
however, i feel that Zidane deserved a yellow instead of a direct red as Materazzi had abused his people

I don't know which World Cup you were watching but Zidane is not hated....On the contrary. Re: Ronaldo....it's just soar grapes on the part of the English (I am English, so I know of what I speak). The boo's he received whilst playing France, was from English supporters who choose to stay and watch that match (My brother was part of those that remained, so I've got that info first hand)...

Never worry about what other people think.....just follow what you believe.

C.Ronaldo for diving; Zidane for headbutt. Sounds like deathknell for both their reputation. Makes all other footballers who dive, headbutt kosher. You and i know it's far from the truth but such is football - it kicks you right back in the teeth just when you're flying high - it can be beautiful as well as cruel.

c. ronaldo is hated because of his behavior on the pitch.

1. he often plays for himself and not for his team
2. he makes useless tricks to ridicule his opponents
3. when he enters the penalty area he usually falls down after seconds.

zidane is not hated by anybody, even the Italian players still have a lot of respect for him. he is one of the best players ever, but he is also known for his lack of self control. concerning his head-butt to materazzi, i recommend to watch some "highlight" videos of materazzi to get an impression about this player. may be you will change your view then.

May be yes, but we can't forgive for the cheat and the bad reacton on the picht. Zizou and Cris are the most mravelous player. But not in this WC and in the moment they made mistakes. Maybe we are too strict but sportmanship is what we expexted.
