Dear O Dear!!!!!!! You have such Devastating concepts in Mathematics!!!!!!!!

Who said you that 5/0 is INFINITY?????????? The result is not defined!!!!!!!!! Since it is not defined, you can't multiply it by anything.....

Let me tell you that 0/0, infinity/0, 0/infinity, infinity/infinity are indeterminate forms.........

Let me explain you the indeterminate forms through an example. If infinity is present in numerator, whatever the denominator is, the result is infinity......but when 0 is in denominator, whatever the numerator, result is always not defined. But in the form infinity/0, these properties of 0 and infinity can't be simultaneously satisfied. So this form can't be determined and hence, is indeterminate. So is with other forms...

Let us take your form now.
It is 0*infinity....when any number is multiplied by 0, the result is 0 whatever the number be. But when any number is multiplied by infinity, the result is infinity irrespective of the number. These two properties can't be satisfied simultaneously in the form 0* infinity....So this is also an indeterminate form.....
........Hence 0*infinity is not equal to 5.

5/x is infinity provided limit of x tends to 0......but mind that when x is tending to 0, X IS NEVER EQUAL TO 0....

so I hope you must be satisfied with this answer....
Bye Take Care....
With love,

Infinity is still a number. And remember that 0 times any number is 0. Therfore 0*infinty=0.

5/0=inf.
0=5*inf
but
N/0=inf
where N is any integer, whole number or surd(and oher stuff)
0=N*inf
but 1 is not equal to 2 which isn't equal to 3 and so on..
so 0 is not equal to any number into infinity

Technically, 5/0 is undefined, but I don't care either - informal math, it works.

Anyway, consider the following:

5/0 = inf.
1/0 = inf.
12 345 678 910/0 = inf.
3.1415926.../0 = inf.
-200/0 = inf.
etc.

Is that clear? 0*infinity is one of the undefineds, along with 0/0, inf./inf., and 1^inf. Unless it is the end result of a mathematical limit, you can't figure out what number it is, because it could be any of them.

5/0 is not infinity, it's just impossible, you con't divide something buy nothing;

5/inf is aproximatly 0, so 0*inf should be 5 but if you multiplicate something by 0 you get 0 nomatter if ot's infinity or anything else

Properly stated 5/0 is undefined (not infinity). Since it is undefined you can't use it to multiply.

0*infinity is RANDOM, since RANDOM/0 is INFINITY. 0*infinity can be 5.

Any number divided by zero is not infinity, it is UNDEFINED. However, the limit of n/x where n is any number and x approaches zero is infinity.

Zero times infinity is zero, because zero times any number is zero.

And mathematicians is spelled mathematicians.

0 * 'x' = 0; So is it 0/0 = 'x', Oh no! some damn hole in Mathematics!
