We, being human, like to be challenged. If we don't find something to stimulate us, we get bored. If we are continually bored, we tend to get depressed and mopey.

I would suggest about finding a new activity to learn. Or join a club at your school. If you are out of school, find something NEW to learn. In the meantime, while you are searching "The Menu of Life Choices", you can do something special for yourself. Take a walk, take yourself out (with a friend) to dinner/movie/dancing/shopping (don't go overboard though).

The reason you are bored means you have a BRAIN in your head and your brain needs something to keep it happy.

Have Fun exploring and finding cool things for you to do!

We get bored when we don’t allow our creative energies to flow through.

Stagnant energies create boredom that then lead to frustration and when even frustration cant get us into action we get depressed as we have ourselves repressed even inner feelings and not responded to them, ignoring our feelings is repressing them, and boredom, frustration and depression are all genuine and valid feelings that need to be addressed so that we can heal them and get on with our lives.

But first question is why don’t we do what we want to do, do we fear failure OR is it simply lack of enthusiasm, a passionless life is usually an indication of an uprooted life, so if you feel so, try to connect with your own self, your emotions once again, and then see where do they take you.

May be they would take you to something you always loved to do but now have forgotten. Or take you to some totally new grounds and hobbies. When you don’t do anything joyful in life, it automatically feels like a burden, and a bore. Because you are not using your life, you are passing time, and that is a clear sign that you don’t value yourself or your time. Each breath that you take is precious as it takes you closer to your own death, so remain aware of that, and live a joyous life!

But have you ever seen a new born baby bored or depressed or unhappy for long? No, that is because what he feels he lets it out big time and that is why expression of our feeling is so an important in creating a healthy and fulfilling life, soon we wont do anything that we don’t enjoy doing and find things that we enjoy the most. No chances of getting bored now.

So start enjoying your own company and do things that you enjoy, and above all cherish every moment of your life, for it is the last one of it. Once you keep that in mind, you will never feel bored again

I think the best thing to do is to realize all of the good things you have and most of all be with your most dorky-fun-loving friend. We've all got one of those (or your the one who is).

But, what I do is get in the kitchen, make something sweet, and put on my Favortie show/movie. Or another thing to do is go or watch something that goes 180 MPH. Mabey not going as fast as 180 though ^_^. Do something that keeps your mind off being bored and depressed

I, like most, usually seek pleasure, and usually of the physical and unimaginative variety. Food, sex (masturbation if alone), music, etc. Sometimes, I reluctantly admit, I click on the TV and fill the void with nothingness. Only occassionally do I actually turn the brain on and think--this is a failing. I think that if I could produce something--a thought, an idea, a poem, etc--I would feel better, truly better, rather than masked or distracted.

If I'm bored I find something to do... there's always something to do... I was bored and I started answering question here! now I'm not so bored! :-)

About depression... I think you should do a separate question, do not mix boredom with depression.
