yes, under header section on email you can see the public IP used, copy that and call your Internet provider, they have a tool to Identify Country city and the persons ISP provider, they can even identify the server used, But this information is confidential and seldom they will tell you that they can verify, befriend the Technical Support and you have your answers,

View full headers. Identify the IP address of the service provider and the mail id. Write (email) to the sysadmin (usually postmaster / info / sysadmin / admin) on that domain with the message id asking him from where it originated.
To get details google on "trace email origin"... lots of hits
