Sorry, I feel really stupid having to ask this question, ladies. Like, should you stop once you get to the knee, or midway on your thigh??? Also, is shaving THAT bad? Because half of the people say that you have to shave for the rest of your life, and the other half say its really easy, quick, and cheap. I just turned 13 a couple weeks ago and want to start shaving soon. I live in Thailand, so I haven't seen anything to wax your legs at home. help! (Basically, my only option is, shave, do nothing, or pluck every single hair on my leg!!!)

Well I would say that you should only start shaving your legs at 13 if you think they are really hairy... I live in Canada, so I usually don't shave as much in the winter, cause i wear jeans a lot. I prefer waxing, because the hair takes longer to grow back and it doesn't look thicker.

Depends how hairy your legs are. I have seen women with really hairly legs just stop halfway between the knee and the thigh, and there is an obvious line. I say go the whole way up...but once you start you have to keep going. I don't shave the front of my legs above the knees, because the hair there is so fair and fine it doesn't notice-not even to me

at thirteen, the hair above your knees may still be light. If it is, you can stop at the knees. If not, all the way up to your crotch. Also, don't forget your armpits when they start coming in. use shaving cream, and put on lotion (preferably with aloe) afterwards. If you bathe before, it will soften the hair and make shaving easier

Waxing can be painful, have you ever thought of something like nair?

Depends on what you're wearing. If a bathing suit, shave all the way up. You will have to shave for the rest of your life once you start, unless you want hair on your legs. It's ok if you're wearing long pants.

well I would not shave above the knee unless it is just the pubic area. to be honest I did shave as a teanager a little but it is unpleasent and a pain. I use creams if any thing but only in the summer if I will be wearing scirts or dress's and when swimming on holiday but I honestly think it is better not to start shaving will make the hair grow thicker and it can be painfull.

maximum women such as myself locate it very effeminate for a guy to shave their legs. And shaving the arm pits for a guy is considered interior an same way. ultimately, that's as a lot as you yet in case you should opt to charm to women then I say do not shave you legs and in common words trim your arm pit hair, and in common words shave your face and chest (in case you want).

We were having this discussion the other day...

You are too young to start shaving your legs! They will grow thick and will become a real pain.

Do nothing. When you get to 18 or so see how "bad" you think your legs are. Do not go above the knee!

My advice would be to not shave at all, but I know how it is for young girls...

Hey, use MEN'S Shaving Creme..
Shave ALL THE WAY TO YOUR BELLY BUTTON.
You do not need that hair THERE. It is un sanitary and doesn not do any good. Get rid of it also.
