Yes! We still need someone to manufacture the cell phones, computers, PDAs, MP3 players, etc. that we use to store and transmit information. Not to mention all the other things that aren't going away....cars, buildings, etc....all of which are "manufactured."

If you don't have manufacturing all you have are ideas. No products can be made with out manufacturing. I think that the information age can helps to make manufacturing more affordable and create better projects.

Consider this... If there is no manufacturing, there are no computers being manufactured, which means the information age is over.

Manufacturing is absolutely essential if the information age is to continue. Without manufacturing, who would make the componets of the computer that you are using?

Of course we do. Manufacturing is one thing and information is another. Don't you have to manufacture computers to have all that information? Do you feed on information? Do you drive information? Do you wear information?

Manufacture is making the hardware, through which the information/software is created, to further find ways to make easier the processes of manufacturing, agriculture, hunting, fishing, construction, navigation, ship-aircraft-vehicle building, safety, education progress, etc.

If you do not have manufacturing where in the heck do you think you are going to get cars, houses, dishes, knives, forks combs shoes, shirts, socks..
