Biennial means every two years. A Pansie is a biennial. The first year the plant grows a rosette of leaves but no flower. The second year the plant flowers. Of course it also mean what one answer implied. You get married and then get sex every other year - if he feels like it - if he gets a rush of hormones - if the Cubs win - if global warming doesn't take away what little he had to start with.
