Not been on this bad boy for long, but long enough to know that i may need to book into the Priory to ever get off it!!

I've noticed that some people choose a best answer so you get teh 10 points but then other people give it a community vote so i get additional points.

How do i do that on my questions so i can give you all the points you deserve rather than just 10?

To clarify "when i ask a question i want to be able to pick the best answer and let fellow ANSWERER's give them a community thumbs up or down"

Cheers guys, Happy Yahooing!!

To make it clearer. Look in your best answers and where it has been chosen the person that chose it leave amessage. Just there next to it is a community rating. People give a thumbs up or down. My last best answer got 10 points plus 5 thumbs up so all in all 15 points.

Just to be sure I understand your question - you want to be able to choose the best answer for a question that you've posted, and get other people to give the best answer a thumbs up or down?

That's how it works anyway.

You post a question. Hopefully, you'll get a number of useful answers. After 24 hours have passed, you get to choose the answer you think is best. After a best answer is chosen, everyone else gets to give that best answer a thumbs up or down.

If after a set period, you've not selected a best answer, Yahoo will remind you. You can either choose a best answer then, or extend the answering period, or just let it be. If you let it be and do nothing, Yahoo will put it up for other people to vote for the best answers.

I think it really depends on the question. I have only done it once and that is because this person hated America so much that I wanted to see if he was just trying to shock people or if he really was sluing his hate. Came to it that he had many questions about why America should be brought down it was very sad. See most people just ask questions to ask, but there are others who need the attention whether it is good or bad. Attention is attention. Good Question and good luck with the answers you get!

I'm not sure you can do that. If you don't pick a best answer for your question, then it goes up for the vote. I'm pretty sure it's one or the other. If you find out different, let me know.

You will be sent a reminder email that your question is about to expire and it will ask you if you want to set it to a community vote.

Just say what you feel, sometimes say something intellectual, or say something stupid. It just doesn't matter. The chances of getting a best answer are slim but you will get one sooner or later

I would say it depends on the question, check when you ask questions in the settings, I haven't asked any questions so I don't know how that works.
