I don't beleive everyone is. We have been around for thousands of years and been killing one another the entire time and will continue to . So, honestly, is anyone interest in world peace or is killing just a part of who we are?

A lot of interesting replies. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. If I put my kids together with kids their age from every country of the world one at a time, they wouldn't now which children were theri enemies and which were their allies. They wouldn't know which ones to hate and which one to love. At some point, they will learn this as we all have, but we don't have to believe it anymore. I don't have to hate you just becuase my society tells me to. We are trained to hate whcih means we can be trained, so why not start training to live in peace?

Most people are. Trouble is the majority insist on it being on their terms!

Take heart, the IRA in Ireland, ETA in Spain, Pagad in Africa and many more terrorist groups have layed down their arms and are talking peace. As terrorists groups gain more intelligent members they come to realise each act they perpetrate hurts their people far worse and that nothing is ever achieved by killing innocents.

Peace will come gradually but it will take a long time. It has started to happen in the developed world and it will spread.

when living in other parts of the world except africa and not being in touch with the atrocities, maiming, the raping of women and children by the rebels. not hearing of the stories of womens breasts being cut off for no reason but to show contempt or the malnutrition of african kids while the world spends more than 4 trillion $ a year on war. then i guess you will not be interested in a world of peace.

If there is some magic dust you can sprinkle on the world's notorious thugs, please by all means, don't hold back!

Unfortunately, the reality of attaining world peace is to confront and contain the advancement by those who are against it.

You may think that confrontations go against the goal of peace, but that's where you need to rethink your logic. Study a book or two on war. Understand that most are only out of necessity...

There are some who spend their entire lives towards this goal.
May God bless them.
However, more action from more people are needed.
I have set my career plans in a way to help make the world a peaceful place.
Interests and kind actions towards peace are required from everyone.

The great technological and economical jumps were created by wars. You need to have wars to evolve or dissolve. On the other hand peace is regress.

Wars do not imply always death and guns. Life is a struggle between nations to transcend into something new. War is in our blood as well as the desire for wealth accumulation. Unfortunately more and more people become more and more greedy...

Conclusion: It will be peace... always followed by war... always followed by peace... always followed by war.

obviously not everyone is interested in PEACE coz if everyone was interested in that one thing and believed in making that one thing come true there wouldnt be any wars in this world, the president of the states wouldnt want osama bid ladan dead or alive, there proberbly wouldnt be poverty, or it wouldnt be as bad, people wouldnt be going around killing people they didnt even know, the 9-11 wouldnt have happened, there are so many things that wouldnt have happened, the question we should be asking is will we ever have peace on earth?

Everybody is interested in a world of peace. Unfortunately, it has to be a world of peace of his or her own definition. Therefore, we have conflicts.

I have a recipe for world peace.

Take one cup of fresh peas. Put in blender. Press the blend button. You get whorled peas.

Nope. It's utpoian BS. It is impossible & self-defeating. Countries, like individuals, must serve their own interests, just as causes & religions must contrast each other. A level of tolerance is good, but there must be something that happens when you are pushed too far.

As long as anyone uses force against another, there is no peace.

Most people would not give up taxes. Which requires force, to take money from people.

Are you interested in peace?

I wanted world peace to ensure that my family will not be insecure of war. Nations must live in harmony and cooperate for economic progress.
