Medically speaking pre- eclampsia is more common in subsequent pregnancies if you have had it once. Saying that your partner will be carefully monitored after the loss of your first child. Also it doesnt always happen - I have seen quite a few patients have terrible pre-eclampsia then never have it again.
Just rest assured that you will be well monitored and the very best of luck xx

It's definitely more common in a first pregnacy - although your wife is at higher risk if it's happened before.

But, bear in mind that all the doctors will be on the alert to try and spot the symptoms early on.

Good luck - and I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your first baby.

Sorry to let you know it could happen again if she does not take good care of herself, you have to help her no stress and make sure she takes her vitamins, eat properly and she visit her doctor regularly, because my cousin who is a pediatricians has two kids and she had preclampsia both time her kids are fine young adult..

She may be more at risk second time around, but her doctor & midwife will ensure that she is monitored closely throughout her pregnancy.
If you & your partner have any fears, you should really be asking your g.p. as he can answer all your questions.
I wish you luck on getting pregnant & am sure everything will be great this time!!

it could happen in pregnancies that follow. No need to worry... you need to be extra careful and follow your obstetricians advice religiously. Check the blood pressure regularly and have urinalysis often to screen for protein in the urine. Just so to warn you to be extra careful again.
