Why do men throw their used clothes anywhere but the laundry basket?

we come home tired, take off our clothes, lay them down and forget about them. If we are lucky our wife picks them up and puts them in the basket. If not, we don't really care because we've forgotten about them. At least until she decides to harp on us about leaving clothes everywhere.

Not a justification -- just the way many of married guys seem to be. If you are talking about a boyfriend, you might want to find a way to see clearly through that gauze of "I LOOOOVE HIM" and think about if he is terminally lazy. If so, break your own heart and run. You must first understand the pshycolgy of a man before you can understand the answer to this question. The reason why men do this is very simple. Men might just want to wear that item of clothing again. If he throws it in the basket chances are you will take it away and clean it! He doesnt want that. It is written into a man's DNA to behave this way. Dont take it personal. He is not doing it to annoy you. He cant help it. He doesnt even know hes doing it! You could even sit him down and tell him several time how this upsets you and he will even agree and promise not to do it again. But be aware that he is not in a right state of mind when you have "talks" with him. So I think you should just let this slide and simply see as him being a "guy"!!

I am not sure why SOME men do that, real men would put them in the basket or hamper, other wise they are not men, they are slobs! I am doing laundry right now and doing my wife's also, she will be doing laundry on her next day off and doing mine also! Sure is nice when men and women work together to create more time for eachother and fun! 2 trucks, a Jeep, Travel Tailer, Boat, Golf Cart, Dog and the house take team work. Hope you can get your guy to help you out! Don't be a baby sitter, if he won't put his dirty cloths where he should, don't do them.

I have asked my hubby an million times and he has been doing for years. I have even put a laundry basket where he throws his clothes and he still cant put them in it. I has to be a man thing hun. Sorry to say but get used to it. I have had to for 8 years now and it does not change.

It depends. Sometimes to the very same places (ie a certain chair) and not just anywhere, sometimes to the laundry basket. I suppose "total order neurosis" must affect more women than men. But everyone of every sex have their own "neurotic" behaviors.

Good question. I wish I knew the answer. But I know how to solve the problem. My hubby had a sweater that he kept leaving on the bedroom floor. He said it wasn't in the way. Of course, I'm the one who was getting my feet tangled up in it when I made the bed. So one day when it was raining, I biffed it out the front door. When he came home, he had his dripping wet sweater in his hands. Never left it on the floor again.

ma brother is like that and he drives my mom crazy i think maybe
its because they dont pay attention to what they r doing that they just throw the clothes near it at least so if you ask them why they didnt throw it to the basket they can say that they were aiming for it..... but they dont put the needed effort into it
