Janet Evanovich?
Hmm, well, I found the first one to be not all that great, but since so many people had recommended it I kept going with the series and it kept getting better and better---but then after a while (I think I read three in a week) I did get tired of it...so it's not entirely just you (unless you DO mean Linda! Linda Evangelista??) but they really are worth a read IMHO.

First of all, it's Janet Evanovich. Secondly, if you can't even get her name right, how are you supposed to be enchanted by her novels? I personally went through the first eleven Stephanie Plum novels (plus the extra special holiday novel) in two weeks. Her other romance/mystery novels are just as entertaining and attention holding. So, while I assume not everyone is a fan, I have to wonder why people can't sit through her books.

You mean JANET Evanovich? You must be a hard sell if you get bored with her.
If you haven't read 'Hard Eight' yet, the scene where Stephanie gets chased down the street by Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton and a rabbit is classic. I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants.
