In my own opinion, it is not recommended to wear slipper or flip flop going to work in a place which is air-conditioned. Your feet will feel cold, uncomfortable, and you will need something to shove your feet in to make comfortable.
However, if you work in places which are not air-conditioned, it's perfectly fine to wear slippers and flip flops. Make some noise, and you require less time to grab your slipper to throw at someone if someone annoys you. :P

Not at an office. Not in a bakery. Not in construction. Not on a boat. Not in a convenience store. Not at a pet store. I could go on and on. About the only place it looks right is if you work at the beach.

No it is not a good idea. It would look like you do not take you work seriously. And could be unsafe at some places!

depends where you are going. you are not going with flip flops in a restaraunt! you are not going with it for construction! If you have a small grocery shop of your own , i think you may
