Well isn't this a question and a 1/2?
Murder can be seen as premediated, act of kindness, self defence, accident and in the heat of the moment.
No matter what country, culture or creed you are from, we all have all the ability to kill another living thing, but the majority of us, choose not to and see killing another living thing as unforgivable.
But.... if a loved one was dying a slow painful death.. would you put them out of their misery.?
(we do animals so why not humans!!)
Someone tries to break into your house and threatens your family.. would you kill to protect them?
The answer to these questions would probably be yes, but i'm not going to go out and kill someone because they pissed me off!!
I believe the legal system we have in place is right and if needed will protect those who killed without intent and sentence those who did, even if that means death to them.
Eye for an eye...

Well - some forms of it should not really land you in too much trouble, i suppose. Accidental death for instance, if it was an accident - and maybe some forms of actual killing (mercy killing, desperation killing, self-defense killing etc.) I don't know why people who do that should get into yet more trouble. Personally i have never liked the rigidity of the justice system since ANY 'crime' is justifiable under some circumstances somewhere. Maybe rarely - but the possibility is there.

No It Shouldn't , Then People Would Be Killing Everyone, And There Would Be nothing Anyone Could Do About It, Someone Could Kill Your Family Member , Then You Could Kill The Person That Killed Them.. And So On, It Wouldnt Be Very Good. The Worled Would Be In Havok.

That's just another way of asking whether capital punishment should be brought back to this country - so no, as capital punishment is legalised murder.

no murder should never be legalised. the government and poilice should kill all that have murdered as innocent people die. the poor families that ahve lost people due to murder and would hate to hear of anyone suggesting murder should be legalised.

Thou shall not kill.
This sentence is not a law, but a very stron suggestion from human history, if you kill ( and if you are not an psycho by definiton in psychology) after your victim you are the person with most psychological damage.
The same is with society, culture, and also with the killing on a personal level in peace as in war.
Psychological damage of killing is studied in a group with homepage on http://www.killology.com
ther are also some links on this page with social impacts of murder ....

Hmmm let's see....
The Utopian idea of being able to stick a knife or a bullet in anyone you like?
Well that just sounds ideal doesn't it.... Please note the sarcasm...
I think you could debate this to the nth degree though...
Where do you draw the line...?
Yes to killing child abusers/rapists & other wastes of skin like that but really... How do you justify killing someone you just don't like?
The human race would be decimated in a very short space of time....
Everyone is disliked by someone!!

NO there would be too many loopholes. Attorneys would have a field day in court. All the appeals. Current murderers in jail etc. Would be mass chaos in the criminal justice system.
