Okay...I'll be more specific...lol. It's obvious what the little girl sees, and what happnes while she watches. I'm asking, what do you think the sinificance is, of the little girl?

The little girls sees her parents Both who drank themselves to death,. I'm not sure of the year, maybe around 1953 the end of the Korean war by looking at the vehicles.
It looks like the same little girl at both funerals just dressed differently, also if you look at the first funeral (his) it gives you an idea of who Brad Paisley & Allison Krauss are refering to in the song when they say "We" several times in the song

The little girl turns around and sees Katherine and her soldier meet in the after life. Katherine looks to hr love, in hopes that he has forgiven her, at long last. The soldier seems pensive, at first. Then his love for her pours out. ( I love this video and just recently posted some questions about it, myself!!!)
