In my opinion the new layout sucks
you can (still) go back to the old layout there is a click-able in the bottom right of the page. (and there you can use the advanced search option)

Yeah, it's not on there.
But like someone else mentioned, you can find it on the search results page (or you can leave the search box blank and just click "web search").
If you don't like having to do that every time, use the option at the bottom to "switch to the old page". Give Yahoo! feedback on their new page saying you wished the option were still there...
