Because the prettiest girl in the room is not necessarily the nicest or the most friendly. Or it could be that they are jealous of her, but a lot of pretty girls KNOW they are pretty and use it to their own advantages, they generally are mean spirited (the ones who do that I mean). Pretty isn't just on the outside, look deep into someones eyes to see their soul. :)

Vanity and Competition! Some females always compare themselves to other females and when they figure out that they are not up to the standard, they will try to find fault where there may not be any at all. Jealousy, the green eyed monster!

insecurity, and the girl doesnt really have to be 'the prettiest girl' in the room for other girl to feel that way and i know insecure man do play on it!!!!!!!

Girls can be insecure & jealous. By drawing attention to another's flaws, they take the spotlight off of their flaws.
