You and your GF may be incredibly happy and content now... but once you graduate and make your way to college and start to live your life as an independent individual... your needs and desires will change and adapt to your new situation. What you thought you wanted in High School most likely will change to something completely different. You'll also be maturing a bit more living on your own. Chances are that for someone your age and life experience... a long distance relationship, while noble in concept, probably wouldn't last more than a month after you two were apart.

If you love her that much then marry her after high school. being a college grad and know all of the "fish in the sea", 18 is way too young to wed. if it is really meant to be it, it will. Best advice is to agree to enjoy your college years and if you all decide to remain friends during, then perhaps there is a chance in the future. Fidelity in the same state is hard enough but cross country...... You will have your plates full with class work and research just to name a few! lost sleep over that will occur but wondering what she is doing when she doesn't answer her cell phone WILL DRIVE YOU NUTS! I have been there before at a young age and you gain a ton of experience but I promise you its going to hurt!

Long distance relationships are so worth it. I'm in a long distance long-term relationship with my boyfriend and soulmate Tony and trust me, it can get really hard without them. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night looking for him on the bed when he's half way around the world from me. It gets really hard, but I know that I love him and he loves me and this is meant to be. So no matter how hard it gets, I know that we'll make it throught...all this waiting is just preparing us for the wonderful life we'll share together in the future. Just have faith and never give up, never stop trying. It's definitely worth it. Hold on and you'd be amazed and thankful that you did in the end when you get through it together. But do be careful and let go if it's not meant to be. You'll know.

it won't work far away, and i met my b/f in high school too and we have been together for 6 yrs now, what u are feeling now is just that feeling of being with someone new, relationships take a lot of work and it can not be done far away, u think u are in love, wait to u get to college, all it takes is one argument for some people to mess up. may not be what u want to hear but u will soon see

mostly you need a break, because you will enter new worlds and you will feel cornered in. Not directly when you go to college, but after you have been there and made new friends... you will see, just keep communicating your needs with your girl, and let her feel free to communicate with you. Maybe a break won't be necesarry. Don't cheat, you will regret it forever!
