You should, because once it starts they keep moving the goal posts, and, eventually, yes, you will have something to hide like your race, religion, the freedom to read any contrary book or hold an opposing view to the monolithic center that would be governing you.

It is a big issue, the point is not that you have nothing to hide, its that if you did have something to hide you would be able to do so. I agree with this thinking that nothing to hide so don't care how many cameras there are staring at me. Nothing important in my e-mail so read away if you have the free time (of course don't want the other girls to find out about the other girls ;) but the government isn't interested in that. Its just the idea that if you did want to hide something or keep something private that you have the ability to do so. O-well nothing is perfect.

Even the people with nothing to hide have reasons to hide occasionaly, even if you don't care, it's still society and the law, and probably the other will care. Besides it's cold in winter.

In a perfect world it would never affect you. But it will. The US is on are turning into Nazis they think every one should be like them. And the US people think that's OK. I'm going to take a wild guess and say your question was a for ecstatic question, well then you shouldn't care.

I don't look at it as trying to hide anything. I look at it as the government controling my life AGAIN. I do undersatnd that they MUST defend and protect. BUT our government is a DICTATORSHIP which is NOT GOOD. I myself am NOT doing ANYTHING illegal in my house or out. BUT it is NOT anyone's business what I am doing as well.

What about identity theft? Or perhaps opening yourself up for profiling to be conned or deceived? Or to be unnecessarily picked out by some whacko who disagrees with your values/preferences?

Some people prefer to be very private. It's your prerogative if you want your personal stuff be shown all over.
