I tend to never "Split poles". This is where you are walking with someone, and whenever a pole, or a post comes up in the road, you both go about the same side of it.
This started with one of my friends telling me about splitting a pole being "bad luck". It just kinda snow balled into a habit.
I might not actually believe it, but why take the risk aye?
Oh and the black cat crossing your path is bad luck, while a white cat crossing your bath is good luck. Any other color, your just lucky you got to see a kitty cat!

Magpies. It is a true feeling, as I've had personal experiences around the "one for sorrow, two for joy..."
Here are a few:
-The day my bf's mum died, I went to visit her in hospital, as I was walking to the hospital door, a single magpie stopped just in front of me, then flew off. When I got in, me bf told me his mum had died about 5 mins before. (That would have been about the exact same time when I saw the magpie)
-Saw single magpie the day my horse died, and one the day before I lost my doggie too.
-Saw 4 magpies flying together on the way for my first scan when I was pregnant - I had a boy.
