a leader is a politician. And besides, we need someone LOWER than the cheif to lie to us. Bush isn't lying on purpose. He just finds the political jibber jabber papers and spews them out over hot coffee on the morning news while some how accidently yet vaugely insulting half the country in one way or another. =D

Not the liberal ones. There is a need for leaders but I think there heads are just way too big. I think they should have certain requirements to being a politician. Like not being a scum bag for starters.

No. Anything the government can do can be covered by free enterprise. And usually in a better way.
If something is needed to be done by the government, it can be done by employees of the people. Government workers with no need to be politicians other than talking up their resume.

No...there's no real need but then who's gonna govern? Everyone needs a leader. But looking at the politicoans now-a-days...no need for politicians....we're better alone.

Actually this is quite a good question that needs further investigation, although alas, this may not be the forum for it. There are too many secret societies, vested interests, and criminal political families that are abusing all of us. If politics is for the masses, then we should be able to take it back for our own needs.

you need some one to make decisions in some form
but apathy by voters have politicians feeling that no one is watching.
if more people would take time to participate in the system then it would become more representative of the people

I would rather have corrupt politicians in a representative democracy than corrupt military dictators or fanatical ayatullahs. Until we find an alternative we're stuck with what we have - they're still tolerable.
