He committed a crime in front of millions of people and apart from the red card should have been charged with a criminal offence.

zidane is great .....he also has a temper problem 14 red cards in career...if he had lifted the W C he would ve shown the insolent italian wat football was about ...instead zidane decided to use his head for wrong reasons and materazzi had the final laugh ....if only zidane had kept his head cool... the french might ve been celebrating W C number deux

I think somebody provoke him . Or else who will do that. It is two parties thing. Only both of them know. From my point of view and obsevation, the other party must had said something bad. I hate that person. I support zedane!!!!!
