I've been in a similar situation to you, & would advise you to see your doctor immediately. Heavy bleeding can occur in the first few days but, should have calmed down by now. Personally I don't recall losing clots for that long either, but you don't say how many weeks you were!!
Please make an emergency appointment to avoid possible long term problems.
I agree with you, everyone has their own reasons for choosing a termination & it is every womans' right to choose.
It's not a decision taken lightly!!!

First off, ouch...you just judged all the anti-abortionists out there. Just because I won't do it, doesn't mean I'm going to judge you for your choices regarding your body.
Secondly, I would recommend getting to a doctor or clinic soon (for a followup). Even the emergency room if you feel that worried about it. I don't want to send you into a panic, but this could affect your ability to have children later on if you decide to do so (if something is wrong).
However, it would also depend on how far along you were when you had the procedure done. If you were in the first trimester, I'd give it a few more days to see if it lightens up. You have to remember, your body was still building the blood lining for cushioning even though it wasn't shedding it...so however far along you were, you've got that amount of month's worth of periods, you know? As far as the clotting goes, well, some of that blood has been there for a while, and blood clots. If you were further along it's going to take longer.
I think, too, that you can call Planned Parenthood...they used to have an 800 number, but who knows if that has changed....but they could tell you whether or not it's normal. Main thing...don't stress...take care, and heal.
Best wishes!!!

First of all if you are worried go and see the doctor, the last thing you need at the moment is extra worry and the doctor will either be able to put your mind at ease or give you treatment. I don't know if it is normal or not and am not qualified to say either way.
Secondly we cannot judge on your circumstances (and to be honest there is no point now either!). I'm sure you didn't make such an important and difficult decision on a whim. I personally am for abortion and would defend you against the antis! I'm sure you made the right decision for you which is important, I hope you're getting plenty of support from your friends and family.
I hope all works out well for you with this.

After 6 days you shouldnt be bleeding that heavily. My honest medical opimion is that you go to A&E and get checked over.
The doctors and nurses there are nothing to do with the abortion clinic, are totally non judgemental and will make sure there is nothing wrong.
You will be given an internal exam and a scan.
Please get this checked out or you could not only be seriously ill but you could damage your reproductive system. You are also risking infection if they have left anything behind. Take care of your self- email me if you want to chat xx

See the doctor and put your mind at rest. I don't think you have anything to worrry about, especially if you are not in any pain but play it safe.
I support your decision to have an abortion. The baby was part of your body and it should be your choice. I'm sure you did the right thing for yourself and for your baby. Why have an unwanted child? I'm sorry that other people aren't being very thoughtful, this must be a hard time for you.

Don't even sweat the anti abortion people.
The blood clots are probably normal, but call the doctor and ask, just to be on the safe side. Rest as much as you can and put no strain on your body. Don't wear tight clothes either and put as little pressure on the abdominal area as possible i.e. when you have a b/m.

If you are worried see your Doctor as soon as you can.
As for the anti-abortionists just take NO NOTICE.
You make decisions in life and it is no-ones place to judge you at all.Make sure you get some counselling if you feel the need.
Good-luck Sweetheart xx

if your worried go to see your doctor.
I also had the pill injection (implant) when me body got back to normal. its a three year pill so no chance of having to face an abortion again.

firstly that does not sound right, i am sure you made the right desicion in having an abortion, no one has the right to say toherwise. if you are bleeding you must see a doctor i strongly urge you, dont panic though ring up nad say it is an emergency.
next there are anti abortion people out there and wills ay your wrong, but no one has the right to say you are wrong, i completely agree it is murder, but if you were so unhappy about the thought of having a baby then you did the right thing as a baby needs to be loved.
