Italy. I've been to Rome, Venice, Florence, Naples, Capri, and Orvieto. Every time I've gone, and in all the cities, the people were warm and nice. One time I'd just gotten of the plane at Fiuminco airport in Rome and got a cab. I was starving but I didn't want tourist food. I asked the cabbie to take me where he liked to eat. He smiled and said ok and said he'd take me to my hotel first to get registered and then turn off his clock while he waited for me to come back out. He took me way across town to this little family restaurant where he was a regular, told them in Italian to take care of me and call him when I was done. Well, that was the best meal I'd ever eaten in my life!!! I had this light Italian sparkling wine called Prosecco, and anti-pasti, and pasta and seafood and then a great tiramisu for dessert topped off with an espresso. My God it was good!

True to form they called the cabbie and he came back and picked me up. It was great because I got a great meal that I wouldn't have gotten at the touristy section of Rome where I was staying, although I have to say that the food in Italy is pretty good anyway.

Another time I went to Venice with a friend who got sick with a bad cold so I went in search of some soup for her to go. I found a restaurant but, well, they don't really do "to go" meals in Italy but when I told them my friend was sick they put homemade soup in one of their crystal bowls, wrapped it up in saran wrap and foil, put in a huge loaf of homemade bread, put it in a paper bag and told me "you take to your friend signorina; bring backa de bowl whenever!" (I love Italian accented English!)

I swear I love Italy and I could go back there over and over again!!!

Home is where the heart is; this question is up to everyone and i think you cannot find a single answer to it, because everyone likes a country that his or her heart beats up... lemme tell you why? If you live in a nice country that you feel in, but you fall in love with a girl or boy in another country that you didn't like so far, you will love that country, i bet. I have been to many countries around the world, so I think all has their own cons and pros...

I found Germany (former East Germany) very pleasant and welcoming....being from the States and all. They seemed to keep politics out of it and treated me the way they wanted me to treat them.
The people in Salzburg, Austria were very pleasant as well.
