its javascript source file. if the size of code is very large or same code is to be used in many web pages then we use .js file. Its a simple text file, can be opened in notepad.

Javascript file.. Say a particular javascript has to run in 10 webpages.. instead of writing the script in 10 files.. you can write it once and save it as javascript file and call it in each of the webpages.. this way.. u need not recode the entire script and more over making changes to the script later is easy.

.js is the java script file which is used to write the script for the web page in the seprate file and using with the web page.
Java script is the simillar to the Java language.

I believe that would be a java source file (.jsp is javascript). this is going to be where most of the routines are written.

it keeps asking me what do i want to open .js every 20 or so minutes and its so annoying, idk how to get it to stop popping up on my screen
