My son is 9 and grows like crazy. I usually buy his clothes 2 sizes up. I usually try to accommodate for washing which can shrink clothes. GAP Kids usually has sizable waistbands which is wonderful. He also likes to wear those convertible pants... the ones where they zip off at the knee. I also like those because even when they are too short as pants he usually can still wear them as shorts come summer. I buy his shoes 1/2 to 1 size up, depending on the type of shoe. Hope this helps. God Bless!

I usually start buying my kids clothes for next summer about now, most of the shops are beginning to get their winter stuff in so I check out the sales and get as much as I can, it's the same in winter, nearer the spring they bring out their summer range and try and sell off their winter stuff in sales,..
It's ok for younger kids but once they get to teenagers it doesnt work as fashion changes so quick, my 12 year old wouldnt wear last summers fashion..

Just buy the next size up. You wouldn't want to buy a cute winter outfit that he/she can only fit in July. When they get older, and they don't grow so much, then you can buy them all sorts of stuff (if they'll let you LOL).
