The consensus seems to place the difference in the green v's yellow camp. From this I would deduct the correct answer to be that the difference between Lemon and Lime is a small amount of Blue.

Are you serious? They are two entirely different fruits. And although some kinds of lime turn yellow they are still not lemons. This is like asking what the difference between an orange and a tangerine is. "dude oranges and tangerines are like the same fruit.. just one is bigger" I hear that frog tastes like chicken does that make them the same? And house cats and tigers are the same? Just one is bigger. Size is everything!

I will merrily suck a lemon but not a lime! Lime is incredibly bitter. Although they are similar fruits and taste amazing together, their taste it quite different. I love lemon, and lemon and lime, but to suck a lime on its own one would have to be VERY brave. It is not good...

That depends ... are you talking about the actual fruit, or whatever they are, or fanfiction wise?

You can see other people's reply for the fruit stuff but I'll tell you what it means if you read fanfiction.

(btw, for those of you that do not know what fanfiction is ... it is fanmade writings about movies, books, games, etc. Basically they're just using characters for their own story.)

Lemon = ecchi content very detailed. Bad romance novel material ...basically.

Lime = has light ecchi content

If you're talking about the stuff that comes off trees then disregard this but if it is about fanfiction: Good Luck! *wink*

Lime = caustic! "Any of various mineral and industrial forms of calcium oxide differing chiefly in water content and percentage of constituents such as silica, alumina, and iron. Also called quicklime."

or the plant / fruit = "A spiny evergreen shrub or tree (Citrus aurantifolia), native to Asia and having leathery leaves, fragrant white flowers, and edible fruit.
The egg-shaped fruit of this plant, having a green rind and acid juice used as flavoring."

Lemon = an insult! "One that is unsatisfactory or defective."

or the plant / fruit = "A spiny, Asian evergreen tree (Citrus limon) widely cultivated for its yellow, egg-shaped fruit.
The fruit of this tree, having a yellow aromatic rind and juicy, acid pulp."

or the colour = Lemon yellow.

So, if you mean the fruit, the difference is 'aurantifolia' and 'limon'.
