This tree can be grown in zones 5-9. It is also referred to as "Saucer Magnolia". This tree likes full sun and acidic soil. Below are two sites that you can check out, to learn about or purchase these trees. You may be able to find them at a local nursery as well. Good Luck!!!

Magnolia Soulangiana is a native of China and Japan, however you might see it growing in the Southern States of the US, as there are a lot of magnolias grown there. I saw some in an arboretum in North Carolina.

Several of the magnolia family live fine in Oklahoma. You'll see them as yard trees here.
