I recently had the noodle bowl at the place in Metreon and I liked it, but I gotta think there's something even better. So let me know!

Long Life Noodle Company & Jook Joint on Steuart Street in SOMA is really terrific... the lines are always out the door at lunch time.

Or try Betelnut on Union Street in Cow Hollow. I think the two places are under common ownership, but they are not chains.

Definitely "The King of Thai Noodle" on Clement. They have the best thai noodle soup. Soooo good!!! They are on Clement St. and I think 5th or 6th ave. I go there all the time...the staff are so nice, they are open until 2 am, and once again great noodle soup and other food. Gotta try it!

turtle tower has the best chicken pho (vietnamese noodle soup) in the bay area. and it's under $7 bucks (and still beats out any shi-shi place by a mile). the original location is at eddie and larkin and they recently opened a newer location on geary and 23rd (i think).

I don´t have any names, but try a Vietnamese restaurant.
Some of the best soups are: Pho Tai, Bun Bo Hue and Bun Mang Vit.
