What will happen when all gasoline supplies are diminished?

America is energy hungry not oil hungry. Don't worry. There is so much energy in the universe that we need to be careful that we don't blow ourselves up. We just need to start using it.

My husband and I have cut way back on our oil (heat) and gasoline consumption. I continue to be amazed that our (US) energy consumption continues to rise. That even with gas prices at an all-time high people are still buying gas guzzlers, are not carpooling like they should, aren't finding ways of conserving energy and that the people in power are not promoting, researching and devising alternate means of energy production (wind, solar, etc.). It seems that we should have learned our lesson during the oil crisis in the 1970s, having to buy gas on odd/even days depending on our license plate #; shortages everywhere; gas stations running out, etc. It's a shame we are such gluttons. At the rate we are going I think we may come to that again.

although we the generation of today are able to get the facilities of gasoline on high charges but our next coming generations will not be able to get and enjoy the benefits of gasoline and have to stay in the same manner as our forefathers used to live.

we will have to rely on different power sources. the problem that america is facing is the industrialization of china. china has become a big market in th eoil industry and that has driven up consuipmtion and there fore prices. but i think pil wont run out for a while

its a part of life, as in the old days of kings and queens, or nomads and dinosours. as populations grow so do thier needs, just because american's stand up for what they believe is not a crime and also america is one the great powers of the world, people are just mad because american's take intiative. and don't run with the crowd, or whats popular.

We're not oil hungry or "addicted to oil". It is just that oil is currently the only option and we all have lives and jobs to go to.
