If the area that is being imaged is free of any metal or even plastic buttons, most all imaging facilities will allow you to keep your street clothes on. In fact, I love it when my patients show up prepared in this way, as it saves me time and dirty laundy!
If you are having a procedure like a barium enema or a hysterosalpingiogram, then usually you will need to change in order to be sure you don't get your clothing dirty. Other than those procedures, I can't think of another exam that your clothing could interfer with.....

It is possible as long as you wear a dress that has no metals, buttons, beads, zipper and other decorative materials that could affect the quality of x-ray or interfere with it.
