Yes, i agree war is just as bad as terrorism if not worse!!!! Innocent people die in wars too. But terrorism is criticised by all, whereas Wars involve two countries, and some countries part with one claiming that they are righteous, while some countries part with the other for the same reason. Thats why they accept wars, they think that Wars are inititated with the approval(somewhat) of the countries government and are thus, justified!!! But i feel that killing anyone can never be justified, whatever the reason. Wars are a bigger threat to earth than terrorism in a way! With all the Nuclear arsenal that various countries posess today, do u think that we will be able to survive another World War?? No Chance!!!! And what if these weapons fall into the hands of a terrorist group? They can make any government dance to their tunes!!!

The question is more on the lines of which people accept war more easily than terrorism. My guess is that if you live in a rich nation that has a strong army, you are more likely to accept war for the simple fact that your country is more likely to fight in a more conventional "war" kind of way, and so, the media of your country and the opinions of the people that surround you will accept war as a more "noble" strategy than terrorism. If, on the other side, you live in a poorer country with no economic resources to sustain a powerful army, and that, thus is more likely to fight via "terrorist" tactics when confronted with more powerful nations, you, being a citizen of that poorer state are more likely to view terrorism as the more noble way to fight since both the people that surround you and the media that gives coverage within your nation are bound to cheer more for their own. Now the other important question is, should either of these two tactics (conventional warfare or terrorism) be something acceptable in our day and age. My answer to this question is an emphatic NO, we should stop tolerating the stupidity that the leaders of both types of nations submit us to when making us hate the other side and send our own to die and kill the citizens of the other country. Honestly, to all our world leaders who keep on "valiantly" leading their children to their deaths while they comfortably lead them behind their desks in their comfy recliner chairs ...cut the crap !!! In my opinion, the destruction of a single human life, for whatever reason should never, ever be tolerated ! Sadly enough, both conventional and terroristic warfare destroy the lives of countless human beings in the military and civilian camps alike. While it is true that in the case of a terrorist act, in general only civilians are targeted, it does, however not subject a country's population to the never-ending abuse that a war puts on its civilian population (soldiers raping women and constantly killing members of a large number of civilian families for years and years). I honestly think that both types of warfare are just aborrable and should be stopped !

Terrorism is war: Any persons who participate in terrorism are in fact killing people. I do not know where you live but Islam declared war (holy jihad) on the USA on 9/11,by a totally unprovoked attack on the USA resulting in the deaths of over 4 thousand people. In fact just this week Islamic terrorist from Pakistan killed over 100 people on a train in India.

When intelligent people commits acts of terror it is called "WAR"
When not so intelligent/Crooked people commits acts of terror it is called "TERRORISM"
Both are Bad.
War is played according to the rules but terrorism has got no rules so it is less fun. Also...war is televised live on TV, but terrorism is not. These are some reasons people accept war over terrorism

What the heck is wrong with you people lol ? We go to war because of terrorism. We go to war helping other countries defend theirselves or to defend ourselves against other countries. War is totally different than terrorism. Terrorism is just a way for a group to try and get their point across by hurting/killing other people. War is to try and stop things from happening to our people, other people or countries.

terrorism kills kids, and innocents.. War is geared more like defense and policing.
Having police is the same as justifying war.. arguably not always lawful but still needed to ensure peace.
Terrorism is basically gangs struggling for control over a lucrative market of drugs, arms, and power. Same is organized crime.
Hasn't been a la-git freedom fighter since WWII

War is declaired as a last resort. Terrorism is the slaughter of innocent people without provocation to draw attention to an insane society. War is always a last resort. Yeah, I guess we should have backed away from World War II and we could all speak German now, or Japanese. Grow up!!!!!

Terrorism in my view targets non-combatants and that is why it is worse. War is a horrible thing that should be avoided at all costs. Terrorism is a cowardly act that targets people who are of no threat to the terrorists.

It can be if it is for the wrong reasons. You are never going to escape the truth (Evil people will always exist) As long as that hold true good people will always have to fight evil. Terrorism targets Innocent people. War targets evil ones. Innocents die both ways but you can escape that.
