Trains leave Southampton Central direct to London Waterloo at
xx.00 and xx.30 every hour.

There is also a service at xx.15 via Reading that goes to London Paddington

Since they took the Pullman Cars off - Train Travel is miserable.

Either the brand new desiros or the older wessex units. Both are pretty comfortable for the 90ish minute journey

they are reasonably good ,certain times of the day its like standing room only,and as usual some smoking in non smoking areas by regular travellers who feel they have a right to do so, but that appart I found them satisfactory
