No problem. First things first, don't starve yourself!!! This will only hurt your body and may develop into an eating disorder.

However, there are two aspects to helping you lose weight, diet and exercise. You don't need to worry about not going to a gym, you can get plenty of exercise without one.

As for diet, you should take in between 1500-2000 calories a day. These should be good calories. Avoid sugar foods like sweets, soda, cakes etc. Avoid over eating and eat just until your no longer feel hungry....don't eat to clean your plate, etc.

Watch snacking. Although it is better to eat 5-6 times a day in smaller portions than 3 times a day, don't continuously snack throughout the day or over a 1-3 hour period. I wouldn't worry about counting every calorie, your young and once you start controlling your diet and exercising your body will respond much more easily than for an adult.

As for exercising, get outside and ride your bike around, join a sport of play some sports with your friends. There are tons of exercises you can do in your home. Google "at home exercises" or something like that and you should find some helpful websites. A great exercise for your stomach muscles is the stomach crunch. Google it and you should be able to find a tutorial on how to do it properly. But its important to exercise your whole body. If your not cardiovascularly fit (tire easily when running etc) then take your time when you start exercising. No rush....start by taking a mile walk or so, then start jogging more and more as you can handle it. Your young and your body will respond quickly.

Good Luck! Don't despair. You can change yourself, but I caution you not to become obsessed with your weight. The average for your age is between 100-115 lbs. The important thing is to be healthy, not super slim. Eat right and exercise and your body will find its natural weight.

I hope this helps!

I have to agree with everyone else. All in all I think you should relax, eat healthy, and enjoy this time in your life. On the other hand if you're serious about wanting to lose some weight there are a few things you can do without having a gym membership.

1. First talk with your moms and doctor and find out if you medically able to do something this.
2.Do you have a bubby who maybe part of your school's track, soccer, basketball, football team? If so you can follow whatever workout program their using this summer in preparation for the new school year.
3. Become a runner. Start with running a mile every other day and buy yourself a five dollar jump rope. Start out jumping rope for only 30sec and rest for a minute. As you become more conditioned to perform better increase the number of miles you run and the amount of time you jump rope. For example, in say three weeks you MAY BE able to run two mile every other day and jump rope for two minute straight before taking a short break.
4. Talking with people who you TRUST and not respect and let them know what you're wanting to accomplish and maybe they can offer you some direction and guidance
5. DONT WORRY ABOUT CHANGING YOUR DIET unless your weight is a serious health concern.

Over time your body will mature and develop and all the worries you have today I'm sure wont even be part of your memory in a few years so be good to yourself.

You don't say how tall you are, or what your natural build is, so you may not need to lose weight to be healthy. Why don't you go see a doctor or your school nurse or your gym teacher to get their opinions and advice? Then you can decide if you really need to lose weight. Your body is still growing and certainly will change a lot in the next 5 years without you doing anything in particular. When I was 13 I was quite fat and I didn't like it but by the time I was 17 I had shot up in height and lost fat and gained muscle, all without really making a conscious effort to accomplish this. So I would take it easy and not obsess and see where your body wants to go, especially if a doctor or gym teacher says you are not particularly overweight.

But in general, to lose fat, you need to eat less and just as important exercise more, both cardio and resistance training. As far as diet, watch your portion size and eat healthy (less 'junk' food and more veggies, and keep away from soda).

Try eating a lot of fruits and vegetables and don't just stay home all day and watch TV. Try walking around the block daily. If you could maintain this in 2 weeks you could probably lose 10 pounds or more. You could continue this after 2 weeks to lose even more weight.

Eat less in one sitting, but eat more in one day. You must have about 5-6 small meals a day. Try to cut out take aways ans stay active. Don't eat 2 hours before you go to sleep. Start your day with little exerciose like jogging or just going for a walk with the dog. Do not take lifts, rather stairs. Try to cut out all the starch like bread, and drink as much chilled water a possible, preferably more than 10 glasses a day. Stay away from cooldrink and sweets. I sounds difficult, but ounce you get results and get use to this way of living you don't even see it anymore. Try to exercise a much as possible. There are other things you can do, than go to the gym.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

I would start off by watching what I eat. Eat small portions of healthy food through out the day, at least 4 small meals. Stay off junk food and drink plenty of water the normal intake is 8 glasses of water. Drink your 3 cups of 2%milk or fat free daily. It is proven to help you loose weight and give you the calcium you need. If you do not have a place to work out. Dance in your room, maybe do some sit-ups. Try walking or jogging around the block. Just try to keep active in any way you can. You do not need a gym to stay healthy. I hope this info helps you. And good luck. It is nice to know you want to be healthy.

Try and eat better but don't skip breakfast (you'll end up snacking), find ways to exercise, walk to school. Join a team sport, I was amazed at how much better I looked and felt by playing field hockey, for example.

As long as you are eating healthy and exercising you'll grow out of it. You're still growing, give your body a break. It's doing the best it can. If you can't join a gym, walk or bike to places. Get one of those yoga balls and do exercises while you watch TV>
