Because you laced them with lysergic acid and you are trippin' bad...
You also feel like you're in the desert. Hot, parched, scorched, with nobody in sight so you look to the horizon and see a mirage hoping that the next step you take you find that oasis to quench your unrelenting quest for water, but all you see is sand, gravel, red earth, and a dead joshua tree which momentarily obstructs your vision before you suddenly lapse out of consciousness and wake up in front of your computer with your mouth dry as the dessicant powder found in those plastic packs of silica gel you keep in your pair of socks, but not today... Today you had to eat that pretzel, and then hallucinated into believing that pack of silica gel was also a pretzel so you ate that too even though it clearly said "DO NOT EAT".
And now you wonder, how it all happened. When it will end so you go on the internet and type until you can type no longer, waiting for someone on Yahoo Answers to help you make sense of it all until the sun sets behind the dead joshua tree... And the next morning you hope it will all go away only to wake up in a cold dry sweat with nothing left to pee.
