if my is an audio engineer and travels quite a bit. If you love him then what is the problem with waiting. If you trust him and yourself to be able to start again where you left off then i dont see the problem. Its only four to six months and and in todays world that time goes quite fast and before you know it you will be back in his arms. This is best opportunity to see if you really love him aswell. Time apart can show you many things. And if you miss him heaps and so not discover any faults then you know you love him. Give it a go. Wait for him and see what time will teach you.
