Screw you loser!
Yes, I do feel better about myself. I do it to feel better about myself.

That is almost a rhetorical question. You have come to a conclusion already and you are only seeking confirmation. You have they key, some diminish others. Why would they want to do that. To make themselves look better in the eyes of others.
There is only one truth that can come of that. You wind up making yourself look foolish.

Yes my dear, unfortunately this is true. for some strnge reason people think if they make someone feel as small as this full stop. that they themselves are good and so they feel better. i think its a power thing mixed with an insecure thing.....maybe it was done to them either at school or home soo they jus carry on the good ol tradition(sarcastic) ratha than think hey that was done to me and i sure dint like it so ill make sure i dont do it myself. admittedly some people do it without realising.....these ppl you jus jus goota go with the flow with they dont mean to hurt you...take it with a pinch of salt.
i dont know why but like a lot of things in this life ....our life are jus messed up and sumtimes its soo messed up tat people just dont know how to break the chain reaction and Be Nice.
its not hard.

Pointing out the faults of others sometimes makes people feel better because they are trying to draw attention away from their own faults and focus attention on someone else's.
The other thing I've seen is people being critical of traits they also have, but don't want to acknowledge. For example, an overweight person making fun of another heavier person.
Either way, it's petty and unkind. We'd all be better off if we tried to be nicer to one another.

these people are called bullies. bullies often have there own insecurities so to make themselves feel better about it they highlight the things that they think are other peoples' insecurities to draw the attention away from themselves, seeing someone else humiliated makes them feel better because if they're the bullies no1 will bully them and make them feel the same way. they're just scared of being bullied themselves.

they just feel good and love the attentions they get from their friends.and love the power ...i was once a victim of this but i believe in karma...i look at myself now and the bullier and just feel so good....i am in a better place and a better position than him.....and im sure of one thing im better lookin than he is now
and well u know what people who bully eventually the have no good in life.

Maybe the quick fix to a problem. If a person thinks lowly of themself for any reason, it is easier to critisize, or tear down other people than to better them selves.

Insecurity - Everyone has a hang-up about something so diminishing someone else restores self-esteem.

i think there is a some bi-polar in all of us - we get high on being angry. Expressing a mean opinion or repeating gossip makes us feel "in the loop" and having knowledge about someone - then we are pleased w/ourselves. Dont we all want to make myself feel good?

Yes I had a "friend" for years like that. Who used to make himself feel good by running me into the ground. But I grew strong and got rid of him the fat a r s e hole he was!

absolutely. for example, most people in religions put down other people in other religions in order to make it seem like THEIR beliefs are superior. Why? because everyone is insecure, so to convince you they are NOT insecure, they will act like they know everything, or have everything, to try and make themselves feel more secure.
