you should try getting her to go to the doctor. They could talk with you about it, and find a cause and a solution.

There are many ways to solve this...
1)Home Remedy....Have her Drink more Water, Eat Bananas. Her veins are weak and need moisture for nutrition and to carry more oxygen, water and potassium (in bananas) that helps with most cases.
2) See a doctor, go with her mention the problems she is having, and what she is doing when she does get bruises. a) Do the bruises show up right away(minutes)? b) Do the bruises take time to show (Hours)?
3) Is She Diabetic? If so a Potassium problem (deficiency) maybe more evident, also have her thyroid levels checked, there maybe a T-4, T-3, or TSH imbalance. Look for a specialist in endrocrinology/endroconologist.
4)Is she taking any blood pressure medication?
Vasso-Diolators may be over perscribed (dose too high, or used incorrectly.

Could be her medication. My mother bruised very easily, but I cannot recall the meds that caused it. It also caused her skin to rip easier. I don't know how to stop it except by stopping the meds... but that wasn't an option. Mom had some REALLY big bruises from it too!!

It's inevitable I am afraid. As you get older the body isn't able to take much and it doesn't heal as quickly. Sometimes the bruising stays and never goes. Try giving her vitamin E and B to help her bruises go away and also cocoa butter. I hope this helps you. Good luck!

if she is on any sort of asprin medication that would be the cause as ive been on it and it thins the blood severely.
most people with heart problems are on it so they dont get clots in there hearts.
if the blood is thin ur skin will bruise due to the blood rising to the surface

She's probably on some sort of medication that makes her blood thin therefore she bruses easily, a lot of older people are. There isn't much you can do about it, just be careful around her, and makesure she is careful.

You may want to have her platelets checked out. It's a blood test. Maybe she's low in platelets or her platelets do not function normally
