The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

The article "Earning Money from Surveys" provide a short list of legitimate market research firms and contains explanations of what to look for when joining surveys (and weeding out the fraudulent ones)

That is a very good question, mainly because all of them make claims they pay, BUT you would have to do thousands of surveys to really make any money with them,

Look I know you can make money by doing face to face survey's, because I go and do them every now and then here in Australia and I get to eat, drink, smoke or do 1 of many things while doing the survey's. Usually get $80 each one and it takes about 2 - 3 hours to do them.

In Australia, there's a site called emailcash.com. They do pay you to take surveys, but it's about 2.5cents per survey...
There's heaps. I Googled "get paid to take surveys" and I got bazillions of hits. A link to my search is below. You can make money, but it takes a lot of your time, and you end up getting paid about 7c an hour.
Good luck.

Quizpoints.com I've heard is reputable, and I'm a member, but I've yet to earn any rewards. Filling out surveys, even with autofill, is very boring and tedius. I might as well go to work an hour early.

www.e-rewards.com doesn't pay you in cash, but they pay you in prizes. You earn points from taking surveys, and you can turn these points in for things like free Blockbuster rentals, discounts at certain other websites (like ebags, IBM, etc.), frequent flyer miles, and whatnot. It's not cash, but it's something.

its simple logic...why would someone pay you for answering surveys.....it happens only when you meet their requirements...like if they are doing a survey for twins and if you answer then you may have a chance to be paid ...generally its all fake....
