yes - provided that they have made "reasonable" arrangements for you to have refreshments - such as breaks in another room

Legally, food and drinks are not allowed in the workplace for sanitary purposes. Nevertheless, ask permission from your employer if you can be allowed due to your situation as a dispatcher.

You should legally have breaks every so often (not sure of the number of hours). But I am sure your superiors will not mind if you get up and get water, will they?

Don't you have a lunch break?

I am sure they are not making the employees starve and dehydrate. Are you sure you aren't upset for some other reason? Cmon man, spill it.

Yes they can. As long as you get a lunch and atleast one 15 min break they can ban it.
