I've been having trouble with some hackers and was wondering if there was someway to track their IP and see where they are or if possible find a way to block their IP from accessing my computer (meaning where the hacker gets diverted from my computer)?
I have Zone Alarm which doesn't let them in the computer, but I don't want to have them even coming up on it.. At least not without a shitload of resistance... or something like that...

And yes I'm sure that they are hackers... it says, (and I quote) "The firewall has blocked internet access to your computer [NetBios Session] from (insert IP Address here) [TCP Port 2144] [TCP Flags: S].
So yes I'm sure... that and I've had them all coming on throught the day... and the fact that within 1 hour, I've had 4 attempts/alerts...

first of all are you sure these are hackers?
if you have a p2p prog running zonealarm could misunderstand a connection attempt as a hacking attempt.
the secound is try http://whois.domaintools.com/ it will give you some information on the hacker and maybe the telephone number of there isp. just call the number and tell them the ip and time they wanted to hack you

You can try reverse lookup. It will at least tell you the host.
Here: http://psacake.com/web/eg.asp
Unfortunately, it's so easy for hackers to change the IP address that you see, you can't really stop them from showing up on ZoneAlarm.
Also, you might be mistaking "probing" for trying to attack. Probing is done ALL THE TIME by the dumb hackers and they are looking for vulnerabilities in the system. They usually scan many computers at once.
Also, I'd recommend using Sygate Personal Firewall instead of ZoneAlarm. Sygate has a lot of neat features that will help you track where attacks are coming from.

If you can tell the ip address which is trying to access your computer a lot (Thanks to zone alarm or black ice or whatever you use to monitor it), then if you go to http://www.geobytes.com/iplocator.htm you can enter the IP and see the supposed geographical location of it's origin. However, if they are using a Proxy Server, it won't show their true location.

If you have a fire wall or router, you can turn on their log file. If not your IP's can be logged through turning on some registry switches. Contact MS for specific Regedit directions, and be very careful to follow them exactly. Failure to do so can result in failure of your system.

Yep you can track their ip but if you have zone alarm you don't need to do this...if you think they're getting in or may..set up a router also.

ZA takes care of giving 'em that resistance. Set the firewall to "Stealth" mode, and it will give enough resistance
